TradingView Video Chart Skins: Larpdesk Companion Guide
Larpdesk Chart Companion lets you put a video or image behind supported desktop TradingView charts. Keep the market readable while making the workspace feel more like yours.
Start with the desktop companion
Open the Chart Companion page for the current download and installation instructions. The companion is separate from your Larpdesk journal. Skins work through the desktop extension or the Windows app's Charts tab; they do not modify TradingView's separate mobile app.
Choose a background, then check readability
Try a dark clip with quiet areas behind the candles. Adjust opacity while looking at price labels, drawings and order levels. A background that looks good on an empty chart may obscure information once indicators and drawings are present.
Use the grid control if you prefer a cleaner view. Check both light and dark parts of a video before settling on its opacity. These are appearance settings and do not change the price data or your trading strategy.
Control the audio
Use the mute toggle to turn clip audio on or off. Browsers may require a click before audio playback starts. Keep other alerts audible if you rely on them; background sound is optional.
Bring the chart into your journal
The companion provides a Log trade workflow with chart capture. Review the screenshot and complete the trade details in Larpdesk. The capture does not automatically verify executions, profit or account balances.
When a skin does not appear
Check that the extension is enabled on the TradingView chart tab, refresh that tab after installing an update, and confirm a background is selected. If a video will not play, try its play control and check your browser's media settings. Use a still image if motion makes the chart hard to read.
Larpdesk is independent of TradingView and is not endorsed by it. For the journal, video cards and account tracking, read what Larpdesk includes.
